MTS Software Applications
LaunchPad
LaunchPad is a customizable, easy to use, graphical application that serves as a central launching point for all important applications. It supports multiple pages, large icons, and eye-catching graphics. Single finger launch, and tap and drag scrolling make LaunchPad easy and friendly.
RKDU
The Harris 117G, 152, and Thales MBITR radios can be remote controlled using the RKDU (Remote Keypad/Display Unit). The operator can keep the radio stowed and still has access to all Radio functions via a large, easy to use graphical display. There is also a RKDU for the Coastal Defense MVR-IV.
Re-programmable Buttons
The UTD has 5 software re-programmable hard buttons that can be designated to perform specific tasks. These tasks include System events such as Windows Standby, Screen events such as Screen Capture to a file, AppConfig shortcuts, or Video Port Switching. The buttons can be programmed using a simple, graphical application.
Radio Configuration Tool
The on-board FPGA controls the internal COM port utilized by the supported radios. This COM port can be configured, through an easy graphical application, to support both Synchronous and Asynchronous modes. The supported radios determine the requirement of Sync/Async, we simply make is easy for the user to set that mode. In addition, VMF messaging can be performed without the use of "smart" cables, thus eliminating added cost, weight and size from the system.
AppConfig
AppConfig provides a simple and easy way to save and restore your Application Configuration. Once you launch, size, and locate all your applications, you can memorize that configuration as a Preset. Presets can be restored with a single Tap on the AppConfig GUI, or via a LaunchPad shortcut. All your applications are automatically started and placed- saving time and effort allowing the operator to execute faster.
BIT
Built In Test. Both the UTD and the MTS perform a Built-In-Test on every power up. The results of these tests are displayed on the Diagnostic Screen in StatCon. The presence of peripherals such as the HMD or GPS as well as the internal operation of system components is displayed. The BIT tests can also be run after startup by the user. These results are also displayed on the Diagnostic Screen in StatCon.
